As students, teachers and administrators bid farewell to summer and get ready for a new school year, the Town of Paradise is ready to support back-to school safety. Staff have been busy ensuring traffic calming is in place, speed radar signs are operational, and line painting is up to date in all the school zones in Town. The Town of Paradise is working on roadway patching on Paradise Road near Civic #220 on August 30 which will be completed by the end of the day. This work will affect one lane, causing intermittent traffic interruptions in the area.
All drivers are asked to use caution and to follow signage and traffic control procedures. The Town apologizes for any inconvenience caused by this work.

The Town of Paradise advises that temporary traffic calming infrastructure is scheduled to be installed in areas along Seascape Drive on Wednesday, August 28. Centre line signs and traffic bollards will be put in place to narrow lane widths to slow traffic and improve driver and pedestrian safety. The Town of Paradise advises of a partial lane closure for a section of Three Island Pond, in the vicinity of civic number 28, on Monday, August 26. The lane closure is needed for culvert replacement. Crews will work to minimize the impact on traffic and the road will still be accessible, however, given the nature of this project, traffic interruptions can be expected. The Town of Paradise is advising residents that grinding and paving work is scheduled for sections of Topsail Road (between Home Hardware and Harcourt Road) in both eastbound and westbound lanes. Work is scheduled to start on Thursday, August 22, and it will take approximately five days to complete with work on-going daily from 7 a.m. to 6 p.m., including Saturday and Sunday.
